We provided comments and feedback to the International Scientific Report on the Safety of Advanced AI Interim Report ahead of the AI Seoul Summit.

In addition to written evidence and ongoing engagement, we provided oral evidence to the House of Lords Science and Technology Committee’s Engineering Biology inquiry.

As part of our work to identify the three most beneficial next steps that the UK Government can take to reduce the biological risk posed by BTs, our team reflected on where the approach to narrow, specialised tools will need to differ from existing approaches to mitigating the risks from frontier AI. 

Overhauling central government and following the lead of big business will help us face complex risks.

This week marks an important milestone in the UK Government’s journey to regulating AI, with the first official update on the UK’s approach to AI regulation since the White Paper published last March.

This role will be vitally important as it will dramatically increase the productivity and impact of the whole team.
