Sophie Rose

Senior Biosecurity Policy Adviser

Sophie was previously a Research Fellow at the Center for Health Security at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She is currently an ‘Ending Bioweapons’ fellow at the Council on Strategic Risks and an incoming Class of 2023 Emerging Leaders in Biosecurity Initiative (ELBI) fellow at the Center for Health Security.
 

Sophie’s previous work focused on biosurveillance strategies and their ability to mitigate the risk posed by high-consequence emerging infectious diseases. She also co-founded 1Day Sooner, an organisation born in the COVID-19 pandemic to advocate for clinical trial approaches that would rapidly accelerate the deployment of the most effective COVID-19 vaccines possible.
 

She holds an MHS in Infectious Disease Epidemiology from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a BS in Human Biology from Stanford University.
